With a slightly sweeter taste, higher alcohol by volume (6%) and signature cobalt blue glass bottle, Bud Light Platinum provides beer drinkers with an upscale light beer option. Bud Light Platinum is available in 12-ounce glass bottles in six- and 12-packs.
2012 - The Year of Changes
CARMINE CASTALDO RETIRES
After more than 35 years at National Distributors, Carmine Castaldo, the Vice President of Sales, retired from the company on
December 31, 2011.
A reception was held at Bruno's in Portland in December to honor Castaldo and his accomplishments with the company. He was joined at the event by his family, NDI colleagues, friends, and suppliers.
TOM COLLINS - BEER CHAIN SALES MANAGER
Tom Collins will succeed Carmine Castaldo in the role of Beer Chain Sales Manager. Tom has been with NDI for more than 16 years and prior to his promotion worked as a beer salesman in the Greater Portland Area.
JOHN BERKELEY - NEW ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER
John Berkeley joins National Distributors as Assistant Operations Manager, responsible for managing the warehouse operations at night. John has been working in the operations and distribution field for the last 20 years. His previous operations position was with the healthcare company McKesson where he managed the distribution of healthcare equipment, supplies and vaccines to hospitals and medical providers. John moved to Naples, Maine from Massachusetts about 15 years ago; he vacationed in the Sebago Lake area when he was younger which ultimately attracted him to this area. He's a sports fan who supports and cheers for the Red Sox and Patriots.
BRENDAN ROBB PROMOTED TO WINE SALES MANAGER
Brendan Robb is the new Wine Sales Manager for National Distributors succeeding Dan Kane who left the company late last year. Brendan has been with our company for 12 years and most recently was an Area Sales Manager for Cumberland County.
GOING GREEN INITIATIVE CONTINUES WITH
NEW SOFTWARE UPGRADE
On January 23rd National Distributors converted to a new beverage distribution program developed and supported by Vermont Information Processing (VIP). With operating efficiencies that will improve over time, the new system has allowed us to provide handhelds to all drivers and we will be voice picking the orders in the warehouse. Both of these technologies are now going to be literally paperless thus further supporting our "Going Green" initiative.
NDI NOTED FOR WEIGHT LOSS / WELLNESS PROGRAM
Our "Changes At Work" weight loss program was recently featured on our local NBC affiliate WCSH-6. After 16 weeks of the program, those participating have lost a total of 570.6 pounds!
